Boise, ID, June 10, 2009 — The Boise 4th of July “We the People” Liberty Day Parade is scheduled for 11:00 AM on July 4th, 2009. Please note that this is a significant change in time from the traditional evening parade. The “We the People” committee is calling upon the community of Boise to step forward in a show of patriotism and reflect on the parade’s theme for this year: “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave!” This year’s parade route is attached and can be found along with all other parade information at our website: www.libertydayparade.com
In an effort to raise funds for this year’s parade as well as educate the community on opportunities for involvement, the “We the People” Parade will have a booth and silent auction at the 2009 Summer FunFest which will be held this weekend, June 12th and 13th, at the Western Idaho Fairgrounds. For more information, go to the Summer FunFest website at: www.hometownfestival.com. Members of the community are encouraged to come and support the parade at Summer FunFest!
Individuals and organizations planning an entry in the parade may register until June 26, 2009. For an application and parade rules, please go to www.libertydayparade.com or call the parade offices at 377-2364.
