As I greeted and thanked Gen. Doty at the sign in area, it struck me that I was being recognized and honored alongside of a man like him. I sincerely appreciate that honor, and humbly submit that my gracious Lord Jesus is truly the One to be honored, as it is His grace and goodness that has made me the man that I am. On behalf of my two grandsons who were thrilled to ride with me and myself, thank you again. This is not a protest of taxes or anything else. Our goal is to celebrate Independence Day in a traditional July Fourth Parade (like the Macy's Christmas parade every Thanksgiving). Like most parade committees, we are a non-profit organization dependent on the community's donations and the entry fees to cover the parade's expenses. Mr. Simpson, your entry sounds most welcome, but unfortunately the registration deadline of June 26th is past. If I hear differently, I'll let you know.
