The “We the People” Liberty Day Parade committee is actively searching for volunteers and/or groups of volunteers to help make this a fun and successful event. Volunteers are needed to help with parade set up, staging, crowd control, clean up and so forth. We also need volunteer:
- Barrel pushers–this position walks through the crowd along the parade route pushing a donation barrel and handing out flags.
- Banner carriers–this position dresses in red, white, and blue and carries banners in the parade bearing either one of the first ten amendments to the constitution or a “thank you” banner to our sponsors.
Important notes:
Volunteers are needed for approximately two hours within the five hour time span, depending on the position volunteered for. Volunteers must be 18 years of age to help with crowd control. There will be a volunteer information meeting in June.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us. The committee is hoping to have volunteer commitment by June 19th.
Please share this volunteer opportunity with anyone you think might be interested!
